Bruhati Solanum anguivi
Like potatoes, aubergines (one common name of Bruhati is the ‘African eggplant’), and tomatoes, Bruhati (Solanum anguivi) is a member of the nightshade family with a long traditional use as both food and medicine in Ayurvedic India.
Bruhati is also commonly known as ‘purple-fruited pea eggplant’. It is a thorny, creeping plant with a violet-blue flower which is similar to the flower of its relative, the potato, in shape.
An essential part of the famous Mahanaryan oil we use it in Active Oil.
